Thanks readers!
Hey. Who are you people?
New Year. New Look.
We’re ringing in 2010 with a bright, shiny facelift and a brand spankin’ new calisthenics routine here at THE STORY SPOT. You’ll still find tips and inspiration to fuel your creativity, improve your technical skills, and help you navigate industry waters. To ice that cake, we’re working to bring our expanding community of writers and editors across the globe just a little bit closer and to keep doing what we do to get you through your writing day. The suggestion box is open so drop us a line.
Happy Holidays
All of us at The Story Spot wish you the very best of holidays, whichever you celebrate, and a prosperous and prolific new year. Let’s make 2010 the best year yet for all our writing projects.

Good Writing & Editing To You!
…and you and you. Seems as if the story elves here at the SPOT have been up to their eyeballs in rewrites and new projects. So this week’s post is simply a wealth of good wishes sent out to you as we all do what we love to do best (pens still work in tanked economies so we hope you are all creating brilliance out there!)
If you are so inclined, we’d love to hear what it is you’re working on this spring. It’s a nice reminder that while production and publication fads come and go, the stories we all crave stay the very same.

Are YOU Our 200th Twitter Follower?
We couldn’t be more pleased with all our new Twitter friends. To celebrate this growing community of story enthusiasts, we will be once again giving away a freebie! Our 200th follower will receive one hour of free story consultation on the project of their choice. That will include in-depth project review, a telephone or chat conversation, and follow-up to ensure you’re on your way to where you want to be with your project.
Our goal here at THE STORY SPOT is to help us all work to create the best stories we possibly can, whether writing solo or in collaboration. We hope this gift will help you, whoever and wherever you are.
Blake over at evenlake was the winner of our 100th Twitter Friend Freebie. His free consultation seemed to have changed his entire approach to his writing! But don’t take our word for it, ask him yourself @ twitter.com/evenlake
Thanks again, everyone. It’s your continued support that makes this fun and worthwhile.
Good writing!
djw & THE STORY SPOT crew
